On Monday 18th July 2022 Mario HB9HAT/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Piz Albana and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 40 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
