On Tuesday 2nd August 2022 Mario HB9HAT/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Piz Blaisun and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 36 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF, 70 cm UHF and the 40, 20, 17 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Piz Blaisun is 3200 metres (10932 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
