Posing for photos on the Camondo Stairs

Istanbul, Turkey (TR)
Designed with a fusion of Neo-Baroque & early Art Nouveau styles, this curvaceous, Gaudí-esque stairway was constructed as a shortcut for the Camondo family to reach Bankalar Caddesi, and for the children to go to school. Its hexagonal shape is believed to have been designed to prevent the children from falling further down the steps, should they slip.
