On Monday 1st April 2024 at 10:22 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM, a radio amateur from Croatia made contact with Robert OK2PYA/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from PP Olšoveček (OKFF-1996), on the 40m amateur radio band. Robert made a total of 57 contacts while at the reserve.
PP Olšoveček (OKFF-1996), is a Protected Area covering 2.4637 hectares lying to the north-west of Brno in the south of the Czech Republic. It was designated as a Nature Monument in 1989 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
