On Thursday 28th March 2024 at 11:51 UTC, Janos HA8TI, a radio amateur from Hungary, made contact with Jiri OK2JIQ/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from PP V Kopaninach (OKFF-2578), on the 40m amateur radio band. Jiri made a total of 48 contacts while at the reserve.
PP V Kopaninach (OKFF-2578), is a protected area of 3.027 hectares located near Černíč in the Jihlava District of the Vysočina Region, Czech Republic. It was designated in 2013 as a Nature Monument and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
IUCN Management Category IV areas are areas to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
