On Sunday 24th March 2024 at 09:51 UTC, Lacy YO6CFB, a radio amateur from Romania made contact with Jan OM2JU/P, a radio amateur from the Slovak Republic who was operating from the PR Hole brehy (OMFF-0044) on the 40m amateur radio band. Jan made a total of 72 contacts while he was in the reserve.
PR Hole brehy (OMFF-0044), is a protected area of 5.44 hectares located to the north-east of Bratislava in the Slovak Republic. It was designated as a Private Nature Reserve in 1976 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
