On Monday 1st April 2024 at 12:57 UTC, Jürgen ON3UA, a radio amateur from Belgium made contact with Petr OK1CEL/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from PR Kaštanka (OKFF-1610), on the 40m amateur radio band. Petr made a total of 67 contacts while at the reserve.
PR Kaštanka (OKFF-1610)[Chestnut], is a protected area of 1.0862 hectares. The Chestnut Tree orchard lies near to the town of Nasavrky in Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It was designated as a Nature Monument in 1990 and is an IUCN Management Category V area.
An IUCN Management Category V area is a lived-in working landscape, where the interaction of people with the natural landscape has resulted in a landscape with significant biological, ecological and scenic value.
