On Saturday 30th March 2024 at 10:09 UTC, Eddy ON3EA, a radio amateur from Belgium, made contact with Marek OM1BVM/P, a radio amateur from Slovakia, who was operating from PR Stary haj (OMFF-0998), on the 40m amateur radio band. Marek made a total of 44 contacts while at the reserve.
PR Stary haj (OMFF-0998)[Old Grove], is a protected area of 76.6250 hectares lying in the southern suburbs of Bratislava in Slovakia. It was designated in 2005 as a Nature Reserve and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
