Quarry Wood Henge

Quarry Wood Henge

Elgin, United Kingdom (GB)
Quarry Wood is a small Neolithic henge located in Scotland. The henge is located in a cleared area of the Quarellwoods in Moray. The area would have been covered in trees when it was first discovered but has since then been cleared to reveal the henge.

The henge had an outer embankment, inner ditch and a causeway and entrance at the western side. There are also two stones within the henge thought to be the remains of a possible stone circle that once stood within the henge.
