Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas was the site of a May 2022 school shooting in which 19 children and 2 teachers were killed. The school has since been closed and is set to be demolished and replaced.
Built in 1955, Robb Elementary was a school primarily attended by Chicano and Mexican-American students. In 1970, 650 students protested the firing of one the school's few Latino or bilingual students, leading to a 1976 court ruling that the district was in violation of Brown v. Board of Education.
