On Thursday 11th August 2022, Michael OE7MPI/P and Monika OE7MPN/P a couple of radio amateurs from Austria reached summit of Sadnig and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 15 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Sadnig is 2745 metres (9006 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
