Saint John the Baptist Church (Surp Hovhannes Mkrtich) in the town of Abovyan, Kotayk Province, Armenia is a monumental Armenian Apostolic church

The church was built to the designs of Artak Ghulyan, by constructional engineers Hovhannes Meyroyan and Tigran Dadayan with construction starting in August 2006 having received funding from Gagik Tsarukyan, an Armenian businessman. The church was consecrated by Catholicos Karekin II in May 2013, supreme head of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

Inside the church are works of art contributed by some 40 sculptors and painters, including works by Abraham Azaryan and Hayk Azaryan. However, the creative team of the church grouped around 40 painters and sculptors.
