On Tuesday 15th August 2023, Carine HB9FZC/P & Rene HB9NBG/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland, reached the summit of Sasseneire and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 10 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.

The summit of Sasseneire is 3253 metres (10673 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
