Richard Meier petitioned the Getty to save and restore this Gesner house which is now the Trustee House. Meier lived here while the museum was under construction. Apparently, the pool had an underwater entrance to the master bedroom and Meier had it sealed up after he returned home one day to find a transient dressed in his clothes and smoking a cigar in his living room.
