On Sunday 26th June 2022 the Eyewitness News website and other media outlets reported that at least 20 people have been found dead in the Enyobeni nightclub in Scenery Park Township, East London in the Eastern Cape.

Early reports spoke of a stampede at the venue, but these have not been confirmed.
