Schechter House by Ralph Rapson

Schechter House by Ralph Rapson

Lexington, Massachusetts (MA), US
Built in 1950.

This house is in surprisingly original condition when I last saw it in 2007.

Rapson was challenged by his client to use a large number of doors as part of the construction. As a result, nearly all of the walls on the main floor (cantilevered on three sides above a smaller footprint cement block basement), interior and exterior, were built using doors as their superficial material.
