Serra do Ibitipoca (PY4/MO-009)

On Sunday 30th April 2023, Ronie PU4RSN, a radio amateur from Brazil reached the summit of Serra do Ibitipoca and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 9 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.

The summit of Serra do Ibitipoca is 1784 metres (5853 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
