Sharidake (JA8/OH-005)

On Wednesday 21st June 2023, Yuki JF1NDT/8, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Sharidake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 51 contacts in total working on the 70cm, 2m, 30m, 20, 17 and 15m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Sharidake is 1547 metres (5075 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.

The summit of Sharidake is in the Okhotsk Subprefecture on Hokaido Island.
