Shmakovka resort and Holy Trinity St. Nicholas monastery (Свято-Троицкий Николаевский монастырь), the oldest male monastery in the Russian Far East, are located on the Ussuri River near the mouth of the Draguchina River near urban-type settlement Gornye Klyuchi (Russian: Го́рные Ключи́, lit. mountain springs) in Kirovsky District, Primorsky Krai, Russia, 16 kilometers (10 mi) from the district's administrative center. A tower-chapel, located on one of the highest viewpoints of Shmakovka Resort, and the monastery are district's landmarks. The monastery was founded by hieromonk Alexy (Alexander Oskolkov) in 1893.
