On Sunday 24th July 2022 Stavros SV2RUJ/P a radio amateur from Greece reached the summit of Simpetheriako and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 30 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
