On Sunday 11th September 2022, Manuel WP4TZ, a radio amateur from San Juan, PR reached the summit of South Sisters and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 52 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.

The summit of South Sister Is 3105 metres (10187 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
