Four separate Dam Sites are built along the Snare River. This location is Dam 2 with an airstrip and facilities. Dam 1 is 12 km northeast, Dam 3 (2.6 km) west & Dam 4 (13.7 km) southwest. The Power Transmission line runs 140 km. southeast to Yellowknife.
