South Korea Rocket Launch – June 2022

On Tuesday 21st June 2022 the Associated Press reported that South Korea had successfully launched, from the Naro Space Center, its first satellite with a homegrown rocket.

This was the second time launch of the Nuri rocket but the first time it had successful put its payload into earth orbit.

The 47 metre (154 feet) Nuri Rocket uses liquid fuels that must be kept at extremely low temperature and is therefore ideally suited to launch satellites into space.
