London, United Kingdom (GB)
St Andrew-by-the-Wardrobe may date back as far as 1170. William Shakespeare was said to have attended the church for 15 years while working at the nearby Blackfriars Theatre. There is a memorial to Shakespeare inside the church.

The original structure was destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666 and rebuilt as one of Sir Christopher Wren's designs. The church was again destroyed during WWII with only the tower and walls surviving. The church as seen today was rebuilt in 1961.
