St. Petersburg IndyCar winners monument

St Petersburg, Florida (FL), US
In 2013, a monument was unveiled at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg temporary racing circuit. It features a plaque commemorating each winner of the IndyCar race since 2005. In 2003, the rival Champ Car World Series ran a race here won by Canadian Paul Tracy. His victory was omitted from the memorial. SCCA sports car races were also held here from 1985-90.

Just to the left of this monument is a memorial to British driver Dan Wheldon, who died in an IndyCar race at Las Vegas in 2011. Wheldon called St. Petersburg his adopted hometown.
