A small garden near St. Thomas Square was once the burial ground of a small chapel in London. The chapel was demolished in 1848 and burials continued until 1876. It was converted into a public garden in 1884. A few the graves are still visible at the site today.

The burial ground was the site of the 2008 murder of Shaquille Smith that was stabbed to death by six gang members. A small plaque stands within the grounds in his memory.
