This is not actually Fort Gomer it is Stokes Bay Battery. Fort Gomer was demolished in the late 60s for Gomer Estate and was situated about quarter of a mile north of this site. The outline of Fort Gomer can still be seen around Moat Drive and Galemoor Avenue.
