A 9 m high stone “waterfall” composed of hexagonal basalt pillars resides near a Slovakian castle. This unique rock formation formed around 4 million years ago when basalt lava hardened into these unique columns. It’s the only example of this formation in the region, and is 1 of 7 found in the world.
