Suzuki X-90

Suzuki X-90

Chicago, Illinois (IL), US
The Suzuki X-90 was a subcompact targa-top SUV that was the replacement for the Samurai, which had built controversy because of rollover incidents, in April 1996. The only available engine choice was a 95-horsepower 1.6 liter SOHC I4. 7,205 units were imported to the U.S. market, and were used by energy drink company Red Bull to promote its drinks by attaching a 5-foot mockup of one onto its roof. Like its predecessor, this "crossover forerunner" was no stranger to criticism, and it was because of its oddball styling; in fact, it's been placed on numerous "Worst Cars Ever" lists, including the 13th position on Top Gear's "13 Worst Cars of the Last 20 Years".
