The Sycamore Gap is one of the most popular and scenic parts of Hadrian's Wall. Hadrian's Wall was built as part of the Roman fortifications in 122 AD during the reign of emperor Hadrian.
The Sycamore Gap was also a filming location in the 1991 film "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves".
