This is an Amtrak Coast Starlight first-class "parlour car" that seems to be laying over at Portland's Union Station. Takes a bit longer, cost a bit more, but the Coast Starlight is a nice ride. I take it from Seattle to Eugene, Oregon all the time. You just have to slow down and relax, read a book, have a cocktail, take a snooze... The coach cars are not bad at all, wide comfortable seats that recline all the way back, and even in coach you can have your dinner brought to your seat.
