The Angel Tree

The Angel Tree

Bay St. Louis, Mississippi (MS), US
The Angel Tree was used for survival by several people during the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Three survivors clung to the tree during the 40-foot storm surge. The tree died and had to be cut back, but the survivors commissioned chainsaw artist Dayle Lewis to cut the limbs into angels and set them in concrete.
