The Big Tree

The Big Tree is a nearly 400-year-old bur oak located not far from the Missouri River and the city of Columbia. The tree stands 27 m (89 ft) and owns a trunk 7.5 ft (2.3 m) in diameter.

The Big Tree is a part of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail and might have been in view of Lewis and Clark as they moved along the river.
