The Edina Theatre opened in 1934, designed by the famous firm of Liebenberg & Kaplan in the Art Deco style. In 1988, Cineplex Odeon closed the Edina and all but its Art Deco landmark facade and marquee were torn down. A modern, two level fourplex was built behind the facade, reopening in 1989. Operated by Landmark Theaters since 2003.
