The Lodge at Wakulla Springs is a two-star hotel surrounded by 6,000 acres of the Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park, offering a view of one of the country's largest springs. The lodge houses 27 rooms and dates back to the 1930's when financier Edward Ball decided to build a grand hotel on the site, finishing in 1937.
Hollywood took advantage of the scenery to film movies like Tarzan and Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Tours of the springs are also offered for a small fee.
