A train carrying military munitions — including small arms munitions and hand grenades — and hazardous materials derailed near a northeastern Nevada town. Union Pacific Railroad said that the railcars carrying the munitions and hazardous materials were not among the 23 cars that came off the tracks near Wells, Nevada. A tanker full of vegetable oil spilled its load and a car carrying aluminum oxide released some into the air. Union Pacific said some diesel fuel also spilled.
