uKhahlamba / Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site

The uKhahlamba / Drakensberg Park, spanning over parts of both South Africa, in its KwaZulu-Natal province, and Lesotho, was added to the World Heritage List in November 2000. UNESCO described it as "having exceptional natural beauty in its soaring basaltic buttresses, incisive dramatic cutbacks, and golden sandstone ramparts".
