The Guilman Amorim Hydroelectric Power Plant was inaugurated on October 17, 1997, and is located on the Piracicaba River between the municipalities of Nova Era and Antônio Dias, in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. It comprises four 38.9 MW synchronous machines each made by Siemens and "Francis" type turbines made by Voith. However, the agreed active power supply for use in the transmission system is limited to 140 MW.[1][2]

The project belongs to the ArcelorMittal (51%) and Samarco (49%) groups.
