Risoleta Neves Hydroelectric Plant (also known as Candonga, the old name) is a hydroelectric plant located on the Doce River, on the boundary between the municipalities of Rio Doce and Santa Cruz do Escalvado, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Due to its size, the project is considered a hydroelectric plant (UHE). The plant is owned by the companies Vale S.A. and Aliança Geração de Energia S.A. and is capable of generating energy at a power of 140,000 kW. Each of the owners is authorized to sell 70,000 kW. All energy produced is destined for independent energy production. The plant operates on a run-of-river basis.
