On Friday 8th September 2023, Matt E7/HB9FVF/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland, reached the summit of Veliki Vitorog and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 12 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
