Winstub du Chambard (Le Chambard - Hotel Restaurant Alsace), Anthony Bourdain's Death Site

Kaysersberg, France (FR)
This small hotel in the French town of Kaysersberg was originally built in 1901 and has a restaurant inside as well. However, in one of the rooms over there, renown world-travelling chef and television personality Anthony Bourdain, committed suicide by hanging himself with the belt of his bathrobe on June 8, 2018, just as another episode of Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown was being filmed (and subsequently shelved) in nearby Strasbourg. An autopsy is currently being carried out to examine for any drugs in his system that could have contributed to his suicide, but any act of violence had been ruled out.
