On Saturday 9th September 2023, Herbert N7HG & Charlie NJ7V, 2 radio amateurs from the state of Arizona, reached the summit of Yale Point and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 29 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Yale Point is 2466 metres (8091 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
