2004 – The rebuilt Mostar bridge opened. The original stood until November 9, 1993 when Croat forces blew it up during the Croat-Bosnial War.

2015 – A shooting occurred at the Grand 16 movie theater in Lafayette, Louisiana. John Russell Houser, opened fire during a showing of the film Trainwreck, killing two people and injuring nine others before he committed suicide.
