Description: We are getting such inflated viewership of BEV maps these days, I wanted to see if there was any rhyme or reason for it by submitting on completely uninteresting map. If there is such a thing.

Pdunn's picture 22 views in twenty minutes is pretty high above norms. Although, yesterday evening I had 200 hits in ten minutes—definitely beyond the norm until recently.

kjfitz's picture I suspect someone has a very very poorly designed program out there. It may be the screensaver app that nic pointed out or something else. Whatever it is it only seems to affect the BEV maps. You'd think it could make a little better use of caching whatever it is.

kjfitz's picture As a side effect, the scavenger hunt people who are posting lots of BEV maps are soaring in the stats for overall viewer counts. :)

Parabellum's picture Heh heh heh. My recent "Irrigation System In Action" map has over 3000 views.

Lots of my fellow sprinkler guys, no doubt. {8^P

dda's picture Where did you see the stats for the number of views ? Don't tell me you check all your maps one by one...
TexasAndroid @ 2007-05-23 18:42:22
TexasAndroid's picture Go to Maps in the one of the top bars to get to the area for seeing your maps. View in List mode. Number of views is one of the things that shows up in that mode.
dda @ 2007-05-23 18:59:52
dda's picture Thanks. I also have a lot of view on 3 new maps. GM maps with LL thumbs.
Pdunn @ 2007-05-26 06:55:24
Pdunn's picture The funny thing about this experiment is that while the viewership is clearly inflated——it's nearly twice the viewership of my other maps with inflated views!! Guess it says something about my maps. ;0)

More than 5000 visits in one day for each of these maps... Both military topic.
