This track opened in January 2008 at the United States Olympic Training Center. BMX racing makes it's debut as an Olympic sport at the 2008 Games in Beijing.

The Americans captured three of the six BMX medals in Beijing. Mike Day won the silver and Donny Robinson claimed the bronze in the men's race. Jill Kintner won the bronze in the women's race.
