Description: The Castle of Beersel, in the Belgian town of Beersel, was built between 1300 and 1310 as a defense point for Brussels. It was however later on plundered by the Brusselians themselves. In 1489 it was rebuilt into what it is now. It also functions as the background for the Spike and Suzy (Dutch: Suske en Wiske) comic "De schat van Beersel" (Dutch for "The treasure of Beersel").
