Italian WW2 P.O.W. Cemetery, Zonderwater

During the Second World War, the main Italian force in Abyssinia surrendered.

These POWs were transported to Zonderwater in South Africa where a POW camp was established.

There were approximately 63000 POW's in the camp, 263 of whom died there and are buried in the graveyard at Zonderwater.
