On Saturday 30th March 2024 at 07:09 UTC, Ivo 9A1AA, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Dariusz SP5XTY/P, a radio amateur from Poland, who was operating from the Nature Reserve Olszyny Rakutowskie (SPFF- 0857), on the 40m amateur radio band. Dariusz made a total of 105 contacts while at the reserve.
Nature Reserve Olszyny Rakutowskie (SPFF- 0857), is a protected area of 174.6200 hectares located in the county of Włocławek in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship to the north-west of Warsaw in Poland. It was designated in 1978 as a Forest Nature Area and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
