Description: These marks are where seismic lines were shot. The surface is dark due to the abundant black rocks everywhere (see pics).
The rocks have been bulldozed out of the way so that the seismic vibrator trucks could better couple their pads to the earth's surface.
Since the underlying surface is orange sand, the imprint of the seismic lines is still visible.
