At the German city Steinach in Thuringa you can try the sport of ski jumping.
With the unique system of this unique experience as everyone is jumping made accessible all year round and without risk. Secured with the latest equipment, you may with skis on their feet even jump once the feeling of being ski jumpers.
Secured to a steel cable, creating a ski length of 150 meters (492 feet).
First, everyone gets the proper jumper jumping skis, a ski helmet and a safety belt. Then it's off to the start point. After training, the basics of ski jumping, such as directions, bounce and flight attitude, it is called "free jump". Only when the signal light turns green leaves of the jumpers down the track and start jumping up at takeoff.
After the flight, the safety rope hanging in the ski jumper is short and is then brought back on a pedestal on the floor again. That means a landing directly on the lawn is not possible.
